16 students of the 9th grade of the Wilhelm-Kaisen-Oberschule have a mission for which they need your help. The students would like to do a student exchange with Sol C. Johnson High School in Savannah, Georgia, USA.
The student exchange will take place from September 8 to 19, 2023.
What is are the aims of the project?
– Language development and awareness
– Getting to know a new country and culture
– Making friends
– Acquiring life and cultural experience
What are the main goals and the target group?
The students should be given the opportunity to actively gain life experience that they would otherwise only be able to experience through the media. Career prospects are also to develop from this. Various company visits will contribute to the latter.
What must the students do themselves?
They are raising money through their own campaign and offering homemade “thank you gifts,” which will include a future club event, namely a trip report at a club night. There will be a benefit event with the students before departure, if applicable.
At any time, a donation can be made to the club account with the keyword “Mission Savannah”.
In addition, it is already planned that in the spring of 2024 the students of the “Sol C. Johnson High School” want to come for a return visit. They will also be the subject of their own club event.
