The Carl Schurz German-American Club is dedicated to fostering professional, cultural and social relations between American nationals, organizations and the people of Bremen and the greater metropolitan area.
The club serves to support international communications and to foster intercultural exchange. For this aim our activities are centered on promoting and strenthing social, commercial, cultural and educational ties as well as the advancement of transatlantic fellowship. In addition, the club serves as a social haven and resource center for Americans living in or visiting Bremen and the metropolitan area.
The club has no political or religious affiliations and is an independent, non-profit organization working solely for charitable causes.
The Carl Schurz German-American Club organizes trips, tours and excursions to a broad range of interesting and exciting places throughout German and Europe. Our trips are dedicated to deepening our members' understanding of the United States, Germany, the history of emmigration and current transatlantic relations.
In addition, by traveling and learning together we strengthen the bonds between our members, who take pride in the work we do and all we have achieved over the past century. Our travels have taken us to Berlin, Brandenburg, Noordholland, Alsace, Wuerttemburg, Spain, Chicago and New York just to name a few.
