Profile

The Carl Schurz German-American Club is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering the intercultural, political, economic and cultural relations between Germany and the United States of America.

The origins of our club go back to the post-World War One era. After being forced to disband during Third Reich we resumed our activities in 1949. Today, we are based in Bremen and offer the members and friends of our club a range of events and venues to meet, talk and discuss current events and topical issues. Our trips, excursions and outings are opportunities for both learning and human encounter. In addition, we create opportunities to bring people together and celebrate, e. g. Independence Day or Thanksgiving.
