The Neues Rathaus will celebrate its 100th anniversary Bremen's Neues Rathaus will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary. What better reason for us to ask local historian, Wilhelm Tacke, to talk on both the architecture and the symbolism of the historical building. | 4/25/2013 | Carl Schurz Lecture Our annual Carl Schurz Lecture will be held in the Upper Hall of Bremen's historical Rathaus on April 25th, 2013. This year's speaker is Harald Leibrecht, Coordinator for transatlantic Cooperation of the Federal Government, who will speak on "Europa und die USA in Obamas zweiter Amtszeit- wie geht es weiter mit der transatlantischen Partnerschaft?". Spargel Excursion Our annual Spargel Excursion takes us to Klänerhof in Dötlingen (near Wildeshausen) this year. On June 16th, 2013 starting at 12:30 p.m. there will be plenty of white asperagus for everyone! As always we will be organizing car pools for all those without a car. More information to follow! |
